Individuals may be responsible for varying out-of-pocket costs based on an individual’s plan and its benefit design. Additional costs may be incurred for product administration. Based on Feb 2022 to Jan 2023 data only from specialty pharmacies (on file with ViiV Healthcare).

  • I have commercial insurance

    • CABENUVA may be covered‡ on commercial insurance through medical benefit or pharmacy benefit
      • Unlike daily HIV pills, which may be covered by your pharmacy benefit, CABENUVA may also be covered by your medical benefits. Make sure you check both
    • Ensure your provider verifies your benefits for both your medical insurance and your pharmacy insurance:
      • If your insurance is not accepted by your doctor, ask if your insurance covers injections through a nearby Alternative Site for Administration (ASA)

    • In addition to your insurance, check the CABENUVA Patient Savings Program:§
      • You could pay as little as a $0 copay per injection on prescribed CABENUVA. (A copay is the out-of-pocket amount you will pay based on your insurance coverage)

ALTERNATIVE LOCATIONS TO GET CABENUVA

Alternative Sites for Administration (ASAs) are medical facilities where a doctor could refer you to receive your CABENUVA injections. If your doctor would like to refer you to receive CABENUVA at a location other than at their office, use the ASA Locator Tool to find ASAs near you. ASAs may offer treatment locations or appointment times that work best for you.

Once CABENUVA is approved, a specialty pharmacy may work with you to schedule shipments of CABENUVA to your doctor’s office.

Be sure to answer calls from your specialty pharmacy! You cannot receive CABENUVA until you speak with your specialty pharmacy to schedule your CABENUVA shipments.
